The A&H Metals Glass Railing Process

Whether you have exact drawings of how you expect your glass railing to look or want to leverage our experience to find the best solutions, we will work with you to create a final drawing that satisfies your design requirements. We provide 3D modeling services, a pricing estimate that fits your budget, and a professional, dedicated installation team.

o1

Choosing Your Style

Create custom-made railings for stairs, decks, balconies, and windscreens with superior quality materials, including stainless steel and aluminum. We offer three main glass railing style options to tailor to your design requirements – Free Standing with Base Shoe, Fascia Mounted With Stand-Offs and Railing with Infill Glass.

o2

Field Measuring

Before we start fabricating and installing your custom railing system, we want to measure everything. You can expect our team to be on-site where we take field measurements to the exact inch. Some of the aspects we pay attention to include uneven surfaces, sloped floors, and out-of-square geometry.

o3

Shop Drawing

Next, we create preliminary 3D model drawings using Tekla Structures for steel projects and AutoCAD for sheet metal. We send these drawings back to you so that you can confirm they match your expectations and give us the go-ahead to move forward to the fabrication stage.

o4

Reviewing for Efficiencies

When discussing and finalizing the drawing, we suggest how to make your project more efficient and cost-effective. We do this by consolidating the material, minimizing wastage of material during fabrication, and maximizing efficiency when transporting and handling your glass railing system.

o5

In-House Fabrication

Our 23,000 square facility offers ample space and cutting-edge technology, including TRUMPF lasers, a full-sheet fabrication facility, and Siegmund welding tables, that guarantee rapid turnaround and reduced bottlenecks. We manage dissimilar metals and keep them separate to avoid contamination and ensure their longevity.

o6

On-Site Installation

We handle your glass railing system with care, going above and beyond to avoid scratches, damages, and contamination. With the ability to address challenges onsite proactively, we guarantee a smooth process from start to finish. Our team coordinates with your other contractors to minimize disruptions and ensures that any issues are resolved quickly and efficiently. And we always clean up after ourselves. Enjoy your new custom glass railing!
